CHANGE…

There has been a lot of change in the past 12 months, both globally and within our industry. This issue of ICEFAT News speaks to many changes our organization and our members have experienced since our humble beginning 33 years ago.

One monumental change in our Organization that will take place this year at our convention in Cape Town, South Africa, is the changing of the guardian of the Organization. Ms. Marianne Honders, ICEFAT’s Secretary General since the inception
of ICEFAT in 1977, will be turning over the reins and the day to day operations of ICEFAT to Ms. Judith Uijtewaal.

Judith has been working very closely with Marianne for the past couple of years, learning the intricacies of the organization and its operation. Judith is now ready to fully take on this new adventure in her life having successfully coordinated the upcoming convention in September.

This is not the final farewell and good bye to Marianne, as the Steering Committee has asked her to stay on as our Secretariat Emeritus. Marianne possesses a vast amount of knowledge of the organization, its history and its membership. The Steering Committee, the Sub Committees, the membership and of course Judith are thankful that Marianne will continue to assist us into the future.

THANK YOU! Marianne for your many years of service, your exemplary work, your straight forward approach, your wisdom and kindness.

I am sure everyone will enjoy this issue of ICEFAT News and I truly hope any CHANGE you personally experience is POSITIVE.
