Green Committee Goals

1. Educate ourselves as to what are the most environmentally sound business practices for our industry. Education should include commercial cost benefits as well as research on what are really the smart environmental practices that address the entire lifecycle of products as well as smart recycling practices.

2. Once the committee has gathered enough baseline information on the subject to educate ICEFAT member companies in this area.

3. Complete a survey of ICEFAT companies to assess current status and to obtain new ideas. This will allow us to also gauge further progress. Future surveys to be completed to asses the organizations progress.

4. Develop an Environmental Guideline for ICEFAT companies. This would be a living document that could be modified at any time

5. Promote ICEFAT as a Green organization that is working towards environmental sustainability.

6. Use the education and experience learned from the ICEFAT green project to educate the greater arts and museum community

7. Use the cooperative and sizeable power of ICEFAT and the arts community to effect change in what products are used in our industry and come up with possible alternatives.
